How to Participate
Apply to be a Performing Participant
Each performing participant receives one 30-minute masterclass with a member of our 2024 Artist Faculty, placement in a faculty-coached chamber ensemble, part assignments in the High School or Young Artist Horn Choir, and a part assignment in the Mass Horn Choir. Participants perform with their ensembles on the May 31 Closing Recital. Registration includes lunch daily, an event T-shirt, and optional participation in the mock audition.
Age Requirements
High School Division: rising freshmen at least 13 years old through recently graduated seniors.
Young Artist Division: must have completed at least one year of college through the age of 26.
Participant Tuition: $400
Register to Audit
Auditing is the perfect option for students who may not yet feel comfortable playing in front of a group or for those who do not meet Performing Participant eligibility requirements.
Auditors are welcome to play in the daily morning warm-up class and observe all masterclasses & ensemble rehearsals. They may also observe the mock audition behind the screen with the committee.
Age Requirements
Auditors must be at least 13 at the time of the event.

AHF Work Study Scholarships
Eligibility: Two AHF Work Study Scholarships are available to Young Artist applicants who have finished at least one semester of college study or have just completed their degree program in the spring of 2024.
Requirements: Apply by the priority application deadline on April 15 & indicate your interest on the 2024 Atlanta Horn Festival Performing Participant application. Your applied university instructor must submit a letter of recommendation to: info@atlantahornfestival.com by April 1, 2024 now April 15, 2024. Recipients will be selected based on application videos and recommendation letters.
Duties: Scholarship recipients will be responsible for assisting with rehearsal-space setup, maintaining facility cleanliness, and other duties that may arise.
Tuition: $250
